Congratulations to Dr. Godzich, recipient of the 2020 UC Davis Academic Federation Excellence in Graduate and Professional Teaching or Mentoring Award! Her receipt of the award is reflective of her excellence in and deep and personal commitment to teaching and mentoring. Dr. Godzich serves as an Associate Residency Director in our program, is Director of Academic Coaching for the entire School of Medicine, and personally serves as Coach to 35 medical students annually.
Drs. Joshua Fenton, Alicia Agnoli, and Elizabeth Magnan published a study showing that opioid prescription doses are increasingly being lowered, often more rapidly than recommended. Read the paper in JAMA. Open here.
The team of family medicine resident Rebecca Howe, fellows Nathan Zacharias and Cecelia Jojola, and faculty mentor Dr. Grace Amadi have received a 2019-20 UC Davis Medical Center GME High Value Care Competition Award. The award provides $7,000 to support their project RIPE: Residency Improvement of POLST Education. Congratulations!
