Philosophy of Care
I consider it a privilege to take care of a sick child, and strive to do so in a professional, compassionate, and complete way. With each case, I work to make sure that children and families understand their care and are able to ask the questions that allow them to be confident in the quality of their care.
Clinical Interests
As a full-time, board-certified pediatric intensivist, Dr Dimitriades provides clinical services for critically ill pediatric patients in a tertiary pediatric intensive care unit (PICU). In this clinical arena, Dr Dimitriades leads a multidisciplinary, specialized team to help recognize, resuscitate, stabilize, and provide on-going care for infants and children who with life-threatening illnesses.
Research/Academic Interests
Dr Dimitriades is interested in the use of high-fidelity simulation modeling for the training of pediatric healthcare providers to help improve performance in the care of critically ill children.
Additionally, Dr Dimitriades is interested in the utilization of pediatric critical care registry data for continuous improvement in care for pediatric patients in pediatric intensive care units.
