Philosophy of Care
I strive to provide the best and most up to date care to critically ill neonates. I am committed to making my expertise available to physicians in the community in need of assistance.
Clinical Interests
Dr. Poulain is a Pediatrician, specialist of the diseases of the newborn, with a particular interest in fetal conditions that may be amenable to prenatal interventions and in the management of neonatal lung diseases.
Research/Academic Interests
Dr. Poulain has a long-standing interest in the biology of lung surfactant and its relevance to the management of neonatal lung diseases. He is an active member of the UC fetal-neonatal consortium, committed to improving academic collaboration between various UC campuses. He is involved in promoting telemedicine to assist Pediatricians in the community caring for neonates.
