Year of the Nurse blog, Christine Trainor: ‘They come back and it must be for a good reason’

Christine Trainor

There’s a perception among students and fellows that GI is “going to be boring.” But, as inpatient GI nurse Christine Trainor says, that stereotype is quickly shattered once they spend some time in the department at UC Davis Health. The unique culture – and the passionate people – change those misconceptions and open new possibilities for the learners.

Hear Christine explain why many people come boomeranging back to GI, in her own words.

In celebration of Florence Nightingale's 200th birthday, 2020 is the Year of the Nurse. Beginning on National Nurses Week (May 6-12) and continuing throughout the year, a special blog will feature the stories, memories and motivations of UC Davis Health nurses.

Hear their words, and get to know why and how they invest such heart, passion, expertise and commitment in their life-changing work.
