Year of the Nurse blog, Josh Spangler: ‘A chance to help teach somebody’

Josh Spangler

Although he humbly says that he’s not a “great teacher,” UC Davis Health’s Josh Spangler does bring passion and enthusiasm to his role as a preceptor in the MSICU. While he helps cultivate the future of nursing, he also hones his own skills – and has the opportunity to develop an even deeper understanding of the subject matter by digging into the “Why?”

Hear Josh talk about developing the next generation of nurses, in his own words.

In celebration of Florence Nightingale's 200th birthday, 2020 is the Year of the Nurse. Beginning on National Nurses Week (May 6-12) and continuing throughout the year, a special blog will feature the stories, memories and motivations of UC Davis Health nurses.

Hear their words, and get to know why and how they invest such heart, passion, expertise and commitment in their life-changing work.
